My Father Cigars were introduced in 2008 By Jaime Garcia, son of the
renowned Don Jose “Pepin” Garcia. The Cigars he produces are typically full
bodied, spicy and known as some of the best in the business. In May of last
year the Garcia’s released something different. They blended a cigar
without much spice that doesn’t fit the typical strong peppery Pepin
profile. The Garcia’s grew the natural wrapper in the full Nicaraguan sun &
completed the cigar with all Nicaraguan tobacco and a double binder. The
result is a beautifully box pressed cigar with a perfect draw. It’s smooth,
rich, and it’s hard to call it anymore than medium bodied. They named it
Flor de las Antillas (Flower of the Antilles), in tribute to the largest
island of the Antilles chain, Cuba. The Cigar scored a 96 in Cigar
Aficionado magazine and won the title of their 2012 Cigar of the Year. It
is Cigar Snob magazines #6 Cigar of the year. At the Event we will feature
the Flor de las Antillas, the Jaime Garcia Reserve Especial, The My Father,
The My Father 1922 Le Bijou, and the My Father 2012 Limited Edition.
