This is years theme is “Remembering the Legends.” It is a Chinese theme. I love the Shaw Brothers movies and it will be a little on that line, but there is also a deeper theme that I would like to touch on and this relates to the cigar manufacturers that I am featuring. Here is a little background.
We all know who Bruce Lee is and his contribution to the martial arts. There is a statue of Brue Lee in Hong Kong. However not until recently, the world has found out about the great teacher who mentored Bruce Lee, Ip Man. Well, what does that have to do with the my dinner and Martin Family Cigars, Casa Fernandz or J.Fuego Cigars?
We know the great cigars today. But does the public know who taught them how to make great cigar or grow great tobacco? Maria Martin, Eduardo Fernandez and Jesus Fuego have made a substantial impact and contribution to the non-Cuban cigar market and has been behind some the great names of today.
Maria Martin- President of Pedro Martin Cigars
Eduardo Fernandez – Owner of Aganorsa S.A.
Jesus Fuego- Owner of J. Fuego Cigars
Just like Yip Man is to Bruce Lee, these individuals are Maria, Eduardo and Jesus to non-Cuban cigars and the cigar industry. Each one of these individuals have a deep heritage to the cigar industry, and have their own story to tell. It time for these great individuals to tell their story.
This is going to be a fantastic event. Good to remember the greats of this indusry.
