Perdomo ESV 2002, otherwise known as Estate Vintage Selection is a refined and simple process. These cigars hand-select the finest premium tobaccos cultivated from Perdomo’s proprietary farms in 2002. Beautiful, top grade leaves patiently aged and teeming with flavor. These are paired with one of Perdomo’s characteristically flawless wrapper leaves, completing one of the finest Nicaraguan handmade cigars, today.
The Maduro variety was no doubt a fan favorite from the original. The wrapper is a thick and oily Broadleaf sun-grown maduro from Nicaragua. A thick, oily wrapper chosen to deliver layers of rich maduro goodness continues throughout the slow burn. Expect a rich and chewy core of dark tobacco flavors, earth, cocoa, and a touch of coffee with a lovely spicy-sweetness on the finish. The smoke is medium to full and grows more complex and intense throughout the burn. Also offered in Connecticut and Sun Grown, this is a great cigar.
The Champagne is a supremely flavorful handmade cigar created for enjoyment that can satisfy every palate at any time. Comprised of a fine, Cuban-seed Nicaraguan blend of extensively aged tobaccos, the Champagne is enveloped with a silky, triple-fermented Connecticut shade wrapper. The smoke is superior on all fronts, pumping out various nuances including rich tobacco flavors, hints of coffee, creamy undertones, and a subtle sweetness, almost like honey.
The Noir, Perdomo’s beloved Champagne has a darker side. This rich, triple-fermented Cuban-seed Maduro wrapper is aged 14 months, and then aged an additional 6 months in oak bourbon barrels. According to Nick Perdomo, Jr., “The process helps to ensure parallel colors, a clean and even burn, and rich complex flavors”. The Noir is a medium-bodied puro, hand crafted with all Nicaraguan-grown tobaccos, similar to those used in their popular Reserve Champagne blend. If you live the Champagne, maybe it’s time to come over to the dark side.
Perdomo 20th Anniversary celebrates this rich, family history of Nicaraguan handmade cigars. Each cigar employs bold, Cuban-seed long-fillers grown throughout Nicaragua’s black, volcanic soils. Top-priming tobaccos from Esteli, Jalapa, and Condega. These are patiently aged and skillfully blended to perfection. The wrapper on these cigars is amazing. Nicaraguan Broadleaf maduro wrappers from the highest priming, extra-fermented, cedar-aged, then barrel-aged in old bourbon barrels for 14+ months prior to being applied. A gentle box-press is the finishing touch to this impressive Nicaraguan puro. Rich, toasty notes of cocoa, coffee, and leather coat the palate as subtle hints of sweet pepper and earth complete each puff. The strength gradually builds during the slow burn, completing a satisfying and incredibly well-made premium from the Perdomo family.
