Partagas Cigar Tasting
Join us on Friday, November 30 from 2pm to 7 pm for a tasting and sampling of Partagas Cigars.
Founded in Cuba in 1845, Partagas cigars is one of the oldest surviving cigar brands on the market. Through attention to quality, cigar masters Ramon Cifuentes built Partagas cigars into one of the most popular brands in the world. The use of superior quality Cameroon-grown wrapper leaves and premium fillers grown in Mexico and the Dominican Republic create a spiciness and medium-to-full bodied flavor in Partagas cigars that have made them a favorite of cigar aficionados worldwide.
Partagas Black Label is an espresso of a cigar, extremely dark in color and extra rich in flavor. Cuban-seed Medio Tempo wrappers are darker, heavier and richer than other wrappers because they are harvested only after they have been allowed to age longer than other wrapper leaves. The La Vega Especial binder is sun-grown in the Dominican Republic to give it a deep, rich flavor of its own. To enhance the cigar’s full-bodied character even further, the blend is a mixture of Nicaraguan Ligero and Dominican Piloto Cubano Ligero. These tobaccos and a larger ring gauge translate into a richer, fuller-bodied flavor.
Partagas 1845 was created to “Celebrate Partagas’ rich heritage while ushering in a new taste spectrum for the brand,” states Alan Wilner, General Cigar’s Vice President of Marketing. Crafted under the advisory of the legendary Benji Menendez, the medium-bodied, full-flavored 1845, boasts Dominican Piloto Cubano blended with Nicaraguan long fillers from three separate growing regions, some of which were aged in rum barrels. The Connecticut Habano binder is proprietary, and was developed after nine years of research. But the highlight is the rich Ecuadoran Habano Viso wrapper, which gives the 1845 its unique color and robust texture.
