Event Review: “An Afternoon of Luxury” 07-21-12
August 7, 2012
“An Afternoon of Luxury” is an understatement. Upon arriving at this most exquisite mansion The Hamptons, and leaving your vehicle with the valet, your eyes had the pleasure of seeing a beautiful mansion with its circular driveway adorned with gorgeous Rolls Royces and a breathtaking Hacker-Craft hand-crafted wooden Mahogany boat. All guests were greeted with friendly smiles and were given the opportunity to test drive one of the luxury vehicles in the driveway. When stepping out onto the slate patio, it was as if you stepped into another world. The crystal clear pool glistened in the sun, while privileged guests helped themselves to fine Champagne & Scotch courtesy of REMY Martin, time-honored wines from Capture and premium vodka from Marquis. Delicious hors d’oeuvres catered by Elegant Affairs seemed to float around on silver trays while guests admired jewelry from Fabergé and timepieces from Vacheron Constantin. Private aviation specialists from Jet Aviation and Helicopter Flight Services were also in attendance at this intimate event. Club Macanudo and Cohiba Cigars were one of the event sponsors. They could not have chosen a better person to represent their establishment than Gary “The Event Wiz” Scheer, who was there passing out incredible Cohiba Cigars. Gary is a rare find with the personality that it takes to chat with the most experienced cigar smokers and at the same time, assist the “first timers.” As if all of this was not enough, several guests were invited to an exclusive VH1 Save the Music party later that same evening. Guests entered the venue to find an array of unique items on display and had the pleasure of seeing a fashion show including the products that were on display. There was also a silent auction with items so unique one could not help but bid on them. The VIP guests enjoyed a private area with many indulgences including CAO Cigars given out by the “Event Wiz” himself – Gary, a selection of fine chocolates, drinks, hors d’oeuvres and much more. Produced by Rand Luxury, this was truly a day to remember! To coordinate two such spectacular events is a feat in itself. Hats off to Rand Luxury for an amazing and unforgettable experience!
Count me in for next year, now all I need is the invite!
I like that Gary helps the people that are new to cigars. As a woman cigar smoker, the first time smoking can be intimidating.
This guy really is the event wiz. Seems like it must have been fun.
How do you get invited to one of these events?
I have one word – JEALOUS.
Love the event postings, but really love the reviews. It makes you feel like you were there. Thanks.
